Going Solo

going solo

Yours truly is going solo. What do you mean by that, you ask? Well, it means, as of a week ago, I am no longer represented by any agency. This may or may not be temporary, depending on how growing a team in-house will go. All I know is, it is time for me to work at my own pace, without having to satisfy a middle man.

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being represented by an agency or agent. They just have to be bringing something significant to the table, not just building on what you brought to the table. They also have to have your back and not pressure you into “falling in line” just to please a client or brand. I won’t expand too much into that last bit, but let’s just say certain events have to happen in life for you to see who is on your side all the way.

I’ve worked for myself in the past, so this is nothing new. I’ve learned the ropes along the way and now I am ready to build my brand from within. I’m starting small but my hope, by the end of this year, is to have a company that has staff and produces not only content online but something you, my reader, can hold in your hand. I’ll leave it here, for now. Speak soon.
