Just a Pop of Colour

Summer time, for me, is about keeping things as minimal as possible. From the clothes I wear, the accessories I put on and even down to the makeup, my entire look has to take no more than 30 minutes to achieve. That’s why when it comes to my makeup, especially when I have to make a bit more of an effort than usual, I prefer to make my lips the highlight of my face, to distract from my usually bushy eyebrows and rather simple makeup routine. I’ve said it a million times before that keeping it simple is the way to go with my makeup routine. So having to choose a lip colour was my only makeup “dilemma” so to speak. Being a fan of anything matte and moisturising, I opted for a dark pink colour to complement my simple dress. I’ve been using a few of Clinique’s Pop Matte Lip Colours and Rose Pop is by far my favourite go-to pink. The colour lasts for hours and doesn’t dry my lips. Other than a little touch-up using my face powder when I am out-and-about, I just pop my lipstick into my purse and take it out when I need a little touch up !
